Brynleigh's 2 Month Check Up

Brynleigh had her two month check up today a little late because the doctor was booked and this was the soonest I could get her in. She got her shots today and did really good. She only cried for just a minute. Then we came home and she ate and now she is snoozin' away (something she doesn't do very often.) So here are her stats....

Weight 9 lbs 12 ounces...10-25%

Height 21 inches...10-25%

Head 36 cm...less than 3%

She definitely got her mommy's body size. I was a little one when I was born and didnt get big very fast. We love this little girl to pieces and are loving watching her learn and grow. It is amazing the things they all of sudden do that they didn't do the day before. Even though she is very high maintenance and doesn't let Mom get anything done during the day her mom thinks she is the cutest thing alive. Maybe her lack of sleep during the day is why she started a week ago to sleep anywhere from seven to nine hours a night.

There was a picture with Brynleigh and her cousin Abigail but it got erased somehow and I am now frustrated with Blogger so I'm not going to reformat all of this after trying to put it back in again. :) And...I thought I had a picture of Brynleigh and her Big Sister Taylor but apparently I don't. Going to have to do something about that. Sorry Taylor!

Back to the Hospital

Brynleigh was born on Tuesday at 3:55 p.m. We stayed in the hospital for two days for her to figure our the whole eating/nursing thing. We went home Thursday evening. By Friday we were in the doctors then off to the hospital because she was so jaundice. So we then spent the next two days in the hospital with Brynleigh under the billi lights and an IV in her foot for fluids. I felt SO bad for this little one. It was hard to not be able to hold her when she was crying cause she had to stay under the lights. That is how I spent my first Mother's Day...in the hospital with a sad little girl. But we all made it through. She's healthy and gaining weight now!
